Scope:              Family Practice and Urgent Care

 

Description:      Rocky Mountain Family Medicine is looking to add a full-time provider. The urgent care clinic is open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm. The family medicine clinic is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. All providers are expected to work at least one Saturday shift each month.  Providers are expected to see approximately 20 patients per 8 hour day.

 

Staff:                Our Reunion location has a strong support staff.

 

Qualifications:   Physician providers are expected to be Board-certified or eligible in family medicine (ABFP or AOA), have an active and unrestricted Colorado medical license, a DEA registration, be current in ACLS and PALS, and be eligible for malpractice coverage through COPIC.

SUMMARY
The Per Diem Patient Care Technician assists the provider (Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner) in examination and treatment of patients by performing the following duties.
* Called for various shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH YOUR HOURS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. The duties will be performed in accordance to policy and procedure, standard of care, and in accordance of state certification.

Perform initial vital signs and recheck as necessary
Medicate patients per orders within scope of practice
Carry out wound care for scrubs-abrasions, small cuts, puncture wounds
Apply wound dressing
Apply ace bandages
Apply splints according to provider orders
Collection and processing of lab specimens. (UA, sputum, stool, etc.)
Perform CPR
Assist with pelvic exams
Assist with visitor control and in notifying patients/families of any delay in care

Administer basic oxygen therapy per policy or order
Placement of pulse oximetry and cardiac monitor

 SUMMARY Responsible to greet patients, activate patient files, and move patients through a pre-determined protocol, on a walk in basis, at an urgent care clinic.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.       Responsible for greeting incoming patients in a friendly and professional manner.Std. 1         All patients should be greeted upon arrival with a smile.Std. 2         Patients should be instructed to complete paperwork as defined in the Front Office Manual.Std. 3         Complete and accurate information should be obtained from the patient for billing and demographics purposes.   2.       All incoming calls should be answered in a friendly and professional manner.Std. 1         All incoming calls should be answered before the third ringStd. 2         Accurate information should be communicated to the caller in a customer-oriented mannerStd. 3         Calls should be routed to the intended recipient timely and accurately 3.       Completes administrative duties that ensure the patient’s visit is smooth, billing can be processed timely and accurately, and front office remains clutter free and organized.Std. 1         Co pays should be collected at the time of visit and in accordance with patient insurance guidelines.Std. 2         Patient charts should either be created if it is a first time visitor or located if it is a return visit.
