Dale Kliner, MD, PhD

Dr. Kliner was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended college at the University of Minnesota and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1976. He received a Ph.D. in Psychopharmacology in 1983 and then attended medical school at the Mayo Clinic. He received his M.D. in 1986. Dr. Kliner has published 25 peer-reviewed medical journal articles over the past 20 years. He has received the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award yearly since the year 2000. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps where he served until 1990. Dr. Kliner has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance for management of diabetes, as well as by the Colorado Bridges to Excellence Program. He has also been recognized by the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance for management of cardiovascular disorders and for stroke management.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Kliner participates in Judo. He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and is a 10 time AAU Minnesota State Judo Champion. He holds a Guiness Book of World Record for Judo from 1976. His world record was for the longest time of continuous Judo practice, which was 49 hours.
