Physical Therapy is a health specialty whose goal is to help improve or restore the mobility you need to move forward with your life.  The therapist accomplishes this by working with the patient to develop stretching and strengthening regimens to improve functionality.  The physical therapist may use other modalities as well such as massage, heat, cold and electricity.

A Physical Therapist Can Help You With:

  • Arthritis
  • Back Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Overuse Injuries
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Stroke
  • Sprains, strains, and fractures
  • And much more

Patrick Ritchen, PT has been practicing as an orthopedic physical therapist for 38 years. Following his service in Vietnam, Pat attended and graduated from Ithaca College where he played soccer and basketball. In 1983, he established Platte River Rehab and Sports Medicine Clinic in Brighton. Mr. Ritchen and his wife MaryKay are the parents of three college aged children. Currently, he enjoys his two greyhounds and golf. Pat is currently working on a 38 year streak of never having a bad day at work.
